Vladislav
Motorichev

Vladislav Motorichev is a film and theatre director and artist working between cinema and performance, often blending fiction with documentary presence. His work is visually driven, with a strong interest in analogue texture, theatrical space and political atmosphere. His experimental short "How the World Is Going to End", shot on 16mm film, was shortlisted as Best Documentary at BFI Future. The film was selected at multiple international festivals and platforms, including the  DIRECTORS' LIBRARY, Norwich Film Festival and British Urban Film Festival, and more Oscar, BAFTA, BIFA qualifying festivals.  His earlier works received international awards and festival recognition. Originally trained in theatre, Motorichev brings a performative language into his films, creating hybrid works that sit between cinema, installation and live performance. He has also worked as a video artist on multiple professional opera productions, that experience gave him a practical understanding of the genre from within. Vladislav works in multi-genre projects across UK and Europe, focusing on image-led storytelling and contemporary social tension.
